Januay 2003
I've finished my second  January trip to Puerto Rico. I'm fairly sure this will become a yearly venture.
This year six people from two different churches came down for a week. We all worked on a bunch of different
projects from fixing church roofs  to painting to picking up new pews for the Sunday school class (I managed to get them a $200 Baptist missionary discount). No matter who comes we can find them meaningful work.

I went back to Puerto Rico for a three day Missionary training school. It was a very spiritual experience for me.
During the course two women from the island put on a power point presentation of a exploritory mission they took
to India. Those women had such conviction and courage. In less than three weeks they traveled most of the country.
Their presentaion was one of the best I have ever seen.

August 2003
We did two trips to Maine back to back. The first was to Limestone Maine near the old Loring Air Force base.
At  that  site we worked on about five different projects from a handicap ramp to roofing a trailer .   The second week
we worked on an old church that was being converted into a food and clothing bank.

May, October and November.
I've recently become part of a prison ministry called Kairos (God's special time). It's similar to The Walk to Emmaus three day weekends. I have to say that it is one of the most powerful ministries I've been involved with. The change I see
in the residents from Thursday night to Sunday afternoon is nothing short of a miracle. Check it out at Kairosprisonministry.org
